Celebrating John J.F. Thorne
On Saturday, December 16, 2023, we invite you to celebrate not only the accomplishments of John J.F. Thorne, but also an opportunity for us to say Bon Voyage as he begins his next adventure in the bustling city of Atlanta, GA.

For the past 40 years, John has dedicated his life to the city he loves and will always represent DETROIT! Whether it was his past 8 years as Executive Director of the Detroit Catholic Pastoral Alliance or his more than 15 years of education and ministry at U of D Jesuit High School, his community involvement or his 35 years of ministry at Sacred Heart Church and parishes throughout the Archdiocese.

At 45 years old, John has left an indelible mark on so many and gives whether convenient or not.
